According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), Cardiometabolic syndrome is a grouping of "metabolic dysfunction characterized by insulin resistance and impaired glucose tolerance, atherogenic dyslipidemia, hypertension and intra-abdominal adiposity (IAA)."
